Seidensticker 1919: Over 100 Years of Shirt Expertise in a New Premium Line

Jun 16, 2026

“Everything I touched turned into shirts.”

Company founder Walter Seidensticker Sr. (1895–1969)

Seidensticker 1919 represents over 100 years of shirt expertise. The line translates this experience into a high-quality collection that combines tradition, quality and contemporary spirit. At its core is the shirt as an expression of attitude, style and personality: clean in form, confident in impact and versatile in use.
At a time when wardrobes are becoming more versatile, occasions more fluid and expectations more discerning, Seidensticker 1919 stands for clarity, reliability and a lived sense of style. Business, special occasions and style-conscious everyday moments are not seen as opposites but as expressions of a confident way of life. The result is a high-quality, timeless statement. For people who don’t need to make a show of quality.
Much of the quality is based on premium two-ply yarns and non-iron properties. Densely woven poplin, fine twills, linen blends, Japanese knit jerseys and tactile textured fabrics emphasize the quality of materials and precision of craftsmanship. Summery structural stripes, checks, sartorial denim and expressive all-over prints add modern accents to the range. The fabrics combine a polished look with high standards of comfort and durability.

Studio Seidensticker
The distinctive standard of Seidensticker 1919 is evident in the details. Collars, cuffs, buttons, seams and finishing all follow a clear quality promise: visible in the form and tangible when worn.
The Slim and Regular fits form the foundation for a clean, refined product image, creating a balanced blend of modern lines and comfortable wear. Distinctive collar styles such as Kent, cut-away and button-down highlight the stylistic range of the shirts, lending them a classic or relaxed yet consistently confident character depending on the occasion.
“With 1919, we are taking the expertise and tradition of our house into a new premium dimension. The collection stands for quality, contemporary spirit and modern design – values that have defined our brand for generations,” says Silvia Bentzinger, CEO of the Seidensticker brand.
Seidensticker positions the range at recommended retail prices of 79 euros, 89 euros and 99 euros.
